for car or MC or bike?
On my second TomTom very happy.
started with the original 1 and now use the 730 with speed cams/road works/europe map........... blue tooth and will also play MP3's."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

My dad's got a Navman N40i which cost approx £180 a year or so ago and its excellent.
driven to southern spain twice threw france and its worked 100% also has speed camera detectors.
Definetely worth a look.0 -

Another vote for TomTom. I've got the TomTom One XL, and had no problems with it.
Just be careful using it in France if it has speed camera alerts for France (Not sure if they have that info) as the French police will confiscate it if they catch you using it apparently.Boardman Road Comp '08

i just got a garmin 205w for 100 quid from maplin and it is ace, very quick redirect when you take a wrong turn (which i stil manage to do even when using a good satnav!!) has speed camera alerts and even alerted me to a safety camera which was just parking up as i passed it!! (i am aware it actually informs you of known mobile camera sites but it was a real coincidnce that it alerted me as a van pulled up to ply his evil trade!!)
mine only has uk mapping though but it hink you can get Europe maps as a download from garmin.0 -
I've got this amazing thing called a map and a memory!! only cost a fiver, occasionally malfunctions but does the job0

I know that Tom Toms are the most popular on the market and there a loads of other ones around but I would recomend any GARMIN piece of kit over anything else (in the same price bracket). They're the most established GPS company around and every bit of Garmin kit I have ever owned has never let me down. I swear by garmin.+ 1001 posts reset by the cruel cruel moderators!
