seat to bars

im i right in thinking if you manage to get the seat in the right position, and own more then one bike, should the end of the seat to the bars always be the same for all the bikes

    Ideally you would position the saddle so you have the correct knee position (knee directly over pedal spindal when crank is in the horizontal position). Because different bikes have different geometries (top tube length, seat tube angle etc) and saddles are different lengths, you will probably find the distance from saddle tip to bars is different on each of your bikes ... although all of them could be set up properly.
