Ride wrecked by shock stuck down

Hello guys!
I have had a couple of rides ruined by the rear shock becoming stuck (fox float R on a Specialized Enduro 2004). Does anyone know if there is a device that can be used to put in place of the rear shock effectively making the bike a hardtail so you can at least pedal back home?
Cheers

Theres a shock pump that you can buy from Chain Reaction that can double as a rigid shock, will try and find the link for you.0

though on their pages it says to never work on it if it's stuck-down as it may cause serious injury, so may be better off sending it in for repair.
cane creek cloud nine? seems to get good reviews.0
