Replacement for Shimano WH-R550 rear wheel

Hiya
It seems like the rear wheel on my Focus carbon has attempted to destroy itself so I'm looking for a replacement. Any suggestions for a good replacement, I have read the Shimano's do not last well. I don't have a big budget I'm afraid, though I do seem to be fairly hard on wheels!
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil, and welcome to BR.
The RS10'S/RS20's are better built than the R550's (although I prefered the R550's) - Mavic Aksiums are another option. Handbuilts are another. How heavy are you?

Yes, I was looking at the RS20's. Parkers are selling the rear for £80 at the moment. I'm 10 1/2 stone so pretty light but I use a big gear which seems to wear heavily on the rear wheel.

How about ?

10sp only and silver, assuming that suits ?0 -
10sp is what I require, is this going to be an improvement on the 550 and better than the RS20?

Yes, it's lighter, and an improvement over the R550 - the current generation RS20 has similar features to the older R600 but the R600 is lighter - at £99 its a bargain (I'd be happy using the R600).0 -
Just ordered the 600s, thanks for the advice.
