Routes in Hertfordshire

Hi all,

I have recently moved to Potters Bar in Hertfordshire and was wondering if anybody knows of any good XC routes in this area?

    Head up the M1 to Woburn Sands (J13). You will need an OS map of the area as its all bridleways rather than waymarked trails. You can make the ride as long as you like. A good stop is Stockgrove COuntry Park for the cafe!
    There is also Chicksands which has 2 short XC loops and Aston Hill.

    My brother lives in Waltham Abbey and on a couple of occasions I have taken the bike down for the weekend and we have ventured out into Epping Forest which has been a laugh.

    I'm not sure if it's still going but there used to be an MTB club that met at the weekend for rides in the Forest, might be worth seeing if they still do this.
