which front mech?

sorry for all the quick questions!
I know I need a front mech with a 31.8mm clamp and top pull, but whats all this "swing" about? It is for a kinesis maxlight XCProII, if that makes a difference!

The "swing" is just another word for pull, I.E. Top pull, Bottom pull

If it fits buy it. Front mechs require less than no thought really, what ever you want to pay is sufficient.

Tbh, the shimano LX works brilliantly and the difference between that and the XT one is not really worth spending the extra cash on in my opinion. Unless of course you want a full XT drivetrain0
