considering getting a CO2 pump, rather than a hand one.
Will be used for road and MTB (both presta)
Any ideas? Seen any reviews?

I got my Air Chuck here
http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/innovati ... _1133.html
With these threaded cylinders
http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/innovati ... _1133.html
And these foam grips to protect your holds from the cold cylinder
http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/innovati ... _1133.html
Cheaper than the cycle sites. Have used mine on a number of occasions. I first use a Lezyne pressure drive medium to get some air in the tyre and then top up with the CO2 to get full pressure quickly. One word of warning - you can over-pressurise with CO2 and blow a hole in the tyre. I did it last year.0 -
Edited with correct links for the cylinders and grips!!

Thanks for the link for the grips, what a good idea.0

The grips are useful, the cylinder does get frosty as the cylinder discharges. Its the Joule Thompson on which basis all refrigeration circuits work.
Its worth having a trial run at home.0 -
Hi Hitthewall
Thanks for the links. I just wanted to check something. The price for the CO2 cylinders within the site is for a pack of 5 not £2.88 each? If so an excellent find, cheers.0 -
Yes, that's the price for 5. As it says, "unbranded" but just as good as the more expensive branded cylinders on the cyckle sites.0
-
Why not the more expensive Innovations Proflate 16 Pump ??
Still half the price of Wiggle using the above links?
Is it just a weight thing? I'm not bothered about the limits on the own brand only cartridges, more the ease of use.0 -

Would you mind me adding this to the bargain/deals thread; http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15265998
Thanks for pointing this out - I'm going to order some for myself

RC21, no problem but I messed up on the links in my first post. Corrected in the second.0

I think because they're on the Genuine Innovations site next to the Airchuck they do indeed sell, they should be ok with sany GI pumps. No they're not GI cylinders but should be OK I would have thought.
I don't know about using them with ANY CO2 pump though.0 -
I hope you don't think i am hijacking your thread but i use the Genuine innovations proflate 16 co2 inflater ,but any one know why you can only use Genuine innovations refill cartridge with them, as i have seen other refill cartridges a lot cheaper, but they all state that they are not suitable for these inflaters.https://www.instagram.com/seanmcgrathphotography/
