Help my computer hates Bikely

As the title suggests I've had Bikely problems.
Even though I've looked at it a couple of times, yesterday was my 1st crack at it.
Sadly though my relatively old Dell, with Windows, hates it, and I'm of an age that can do nothing about it.
Everything starts off great, I'm getting to grips with it, and was speeding through the route. Unfortunately the further I went, (saving all the way), the slower my computer got, until it pretty much froze altogether.
What's going on?, can it be fixed?, can anyone help?
Bearing in mind, I've turned it off and on, and even pushed in the cupholder thingy, which amounts to the sum total of my computer knowledge.

It's possibly not your computer. Bikely's having problems and they're limiting the number of connections:
