Hey Guys,

Just wanted to find out if anyone has been out to Swinkey Forest lately and whether it's a good ride for beginners.

Just picked up my 2 bikes today (for and the Mrs) and I'm not to bad on the bike, but the Mrs doesn't have the confidence levels needed for some hectic rides.

Trails are very dry at the moment, plenty of trails to choose from. Will be fine for beginners.

  • Swinley is pretty decent for a manor of things,,,

There's small dirt jumps, single track, uphills, downhilling

It's good for any skill riders, have a good time :)

Thanks for your response, will go check it out, weather permitting.

Harass someone in the carpark who looks like they know where they're going. It's not easy to find the good stuff.

Hahahahaha ... we went there and managed to find what we were looking for ... a day out with loads of riding and after an hour on the main trax, went into the bushes and found some wicked single track XC ....

Great ride and I'll be back there for sure!

you'll have missed a lot. You can easily ride for 2+ hours without more than a couple of mins of fireroad at a time. Fun to explore tho so enjoy
