Wet and nasty.

Cavendish just managed to get back to the front group after it split on the cobbles

Wiggins up front too.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

seems we posted at the same moment.
Sportwereld (Het Nieuwsblad) said Cavendish got back in the main chasing group after a puncture, but is not in the front group.
Haussler, who also was in the front group, fell and is now in the chasing group.

This is going ot be a long and hard Wednesday afternoon!

According to cyclingnews.com, we'd better watch out for Chris Sutton today:
"I can win Gent-Wevelgem, whether it's tomorrow or in the next 10 years"...The 24-year-old rode Omloop Het Nieuwsblad earlier in the Spring, and despite a serious crash, recovered to find form for Tirreno-Adriatico and the Tour of Flanders, where he placed 107th
I reckon Cav, Pozzato and Tommekke will be marking him

According to the live tickers the chasing group (with Cav, the whole QS team, and all but one of the Lottos) came up to 20 seconds close to catching the lead group, but had to give up and is now 3 minutes down!

Looks like one of these will win G-W this year:
Brown, Hayman, Leezer, Tankink, Elijzen, Bazajev, Chainel, Portal, Marlon Perez, Koldo Fernandez, Goetarovitsj, Wiggins, Sutton, Fischer, Koesjinski, Quinziato, Boasson Hagen, Burghardt, Eisel, Hincapie, Napolitano, Goss, Breschel, Cancellara, Hunt, Klier, Lancaster, Rasch, Rollin, Lemoine, Van Hummel, Lodewijck

    predictable sport, cycling

Exactly how hacked off would Cav be if Wiggins won today?

Smart move by Team Columbia sending Edvald Boassen Hagen up the road to take the sting out of QS.

The peleton needs to catch the main break within 5Km if Cav is to stand a chance of a win.

The Hayman, Goss and Klier group seem intent in bringing about a bunch finish for the finale?

In style! He started the sprint from far and had time to change up the gears to win.

What a marvellous Gent-Wevelgem. It's not often you see a classic decided with 193 km to go
