What Used Bike?

Hi. Ive been ridin a hardtail for 18 months now and its begining to limit what i can do. I want to upgrade to a full susser but dont now whats best for me. I've raced some downhill and quite fancy a bit of freeride. I wouldnt think twice about buying a kona tinky but i think its a bit too much travel for what i ride normally. On the other side ive been looking at Kona howlers and 4 inch bikes but they dont seem to be on ebay as much as the bigger bikes. Unfortunately im only allowed to spend a max of £450 so new bikes arent an option. What do you guys recommend?
