Exploratory Alps Week

With a view to having a crack at the Marmotte or the Etape next year I am planning to have a weeks cycling holiday in the Alps in August to see what its all about. I have a place in mind for accomodation but I am looking for a like minded person/people as I don't fancy going solo. I am thinking of going either the week beginning 16th or 23rd August. At that time of year it costs 455 Euros per person, per week, half-board, based on 2 people sharing a twin room. Although you have to make your own way there.
