What type of bike rack?
I'm off to watch the Tour again this summer and taking a couple of bikes along for the ride (mine and my riding buddies).
For economical reasons I am taking my good ladies car (a Yaris) and I need to buy a bike rack to suit.
I have had a look at what can fit the car, but I am still a bit stumped as to what to get having never purchased one before, so I wondered which of the following types would you guys recommend based on security, ease of use etc?
1. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_251011_langId_-1_categoryId_165515
2. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_253917_langId_-1_categoryId_165515
I'd rather spend under £100 for all the bits I need, but I want to ensure the bikes are going to be OK as they are both nice carbon jobs worth a few quid.
Also any tips on how to keep other passengers fingers off the bikes on the ferry would good.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
