HI, Im wondering if its worth converting my standard brakes wich i don't know the name of sorry, to Disc brakes, can someone help me please.
I have a specialized hardrock sport 07, I won't to keep the costs to the minimum.
Cheers

are your wheels disc ready?
are the gear shifters and brake lever assy seperate?
is the fork and frame disc ready?
hydraulic or mechanical discs?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Do you feel that you need more braking power?
Does the bike have disc ready hubs?
Are the brake levers & gear shifters on separate clamps on the bars?
Do the forks & frame have disc mounts?
If all the answers are yes, then it should just be a case of buying & fitting the disc brakes & will be relatively cheap. (~£100 for hydraulic disc brakes)0 -

Yes my frame, forks, hubs are compatiable with Disc Brakes and I do have separete clamps on the bars for gear shifters and brake leavers.
I do need extra braking power. I do a lot of heavy duty riding up an down steep slopes that have loose gravel, mud E.G
Wich am I better of going for, Hydrolic or Mecanical?
Wich is easier to convert at HOME?

Have you changed the hubs and gears then? As i don't believe the standard Hardrock Sport comes with disc-ready hubs, or separate levers and shifters (although mine was an 08 model).0
