For reasons I cannot explain I want to look like this when cycling:

news-symbiote-2.jpg

Is there any websites/shops that sell cycle jersey's in the mold of superhero costumes?

At 12" high, I'd be worried that drivers might not see you...

In the first arc of New Avengers (within the first 5 issues) Spider-man and other Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man Spider-woman, Wolverine and Luke Cage) were captured in the Savage Land and hung upside down, naked.

Over the course of the dialogue (between Spider-man and Spider Woman, Jessica Drew) it was revealed that Spider-man prefers not wear any underwear, according to him they chafe.

DDD, you could add your own logo to something like this, plus this might be more suitable for the application you really have in mind ;-)

Now, you appear to be getting muddled up with Purdey, Steed and Gambit.

Did anyone ever ask Joanna Lumley what she wore under her catsuit I wonder?

I keep saying to the lads at work that I'm going to ride home in just my pants and socks oneday. My how they cringe as I assume the position and demonstrate how it will look.

Dont foska do one or two comic characters? I thought that one was Venom, not spiderman? Or have I misread the thread..

The Punisher in hiviz skull would be awesome. Big Batman fan here, so anything Caped Crusader would do me. :P

Its Spider-man. The original black suit was the symbiote Venom. Later versions of the suit were just normal materials.

You could totally make that kind of suit, it'd be a nice little project!

You can get that pressure-sensitive reflective sheeting that you can stick to fabric - though I'm not so sure how it lasts through the wash...
...otherwise reflective fabric and a sewing machine?

To be honest - if you are gonna go with a superhero look, I think you need to man up to the tormented soul and right wrongs around the world too - why go half way on these things......

Now, Iron Man - I would like to see you cycle in that suit!

Easy project, like doing a jack sparrow I had to do for a friend, find similar pattern, find exact material you want, modify pattern, cut and sew.

I have made clothes many a time for friends, though on a break due to house move. Kimonos (my interpretation design) are amazingly comfy and good bath robes.

The Black suit Spider-man expresses his often repressed frustrations. After Civil War, where he revealed his identity to the world - glad I own that comic its gonna be worth something soon - and Aunt May got shot, he went all 'back in black' and dark spidey who put a whooping on the Kingpin....

I do get what you mean about the whole tormented soul archetype. Not my usual choice of superhero (I hate the whole "I feel sorry for myself") but I suppose one could don a Daredevil costume though I think its more Greg66 what with the "dark shade of orange..."Daredevil.jpg

Noooo DDD. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH! wrong wrong wrong.
There was a young teen on tv a while back who loved the beano and had a first edition unopened copy. He too hoped it would be worth something. I know people who bought matchbox cars (showing my age!) and kept them in their boxes unused again in the hope that they would be worth something. I felt sad for them.

Their worth, their WORTH is in enjoying reading / playing with them. Their financial selling price is small in comparison. I'm much happier knowing that playing with my matchbox cars allowed me to use my imagination and enjoy my youth, far more valuable than the stunted unhappy childhoods of school friends who may well be basking in the profits of their pristine cars now but stioll feeling empty and unhappy inside.

I gather from your posts that you clearly do enjoy your comics, good. Remember, that is their value and richness, not what you might sell them for.

Moral indignation rant over - sorry

That is actually roughly what G66 looked like the first time he appeared down at Morpeth :-)
As your your weird cycling fantasies I'm sure there are many websites along the lines of that posted above that can sort you out with a full skin suit - having said that I wouldn't try visiting those sites at work unless you like setting off your companies IT alarms and want to sign registers for the next few years.........

Dude, I've read every single one of my 1000+ comics dating back before 1970 (Dad collected for a while). I turned the pages of Thor #1 (the new series) with some tweezers, I still read it though. I then went back and bought another (never been read) copy.

I cheated. I bought the collection in a novel and read that instead. Judge Dredd, Batman (lookin good for a 70 year old 8) ), Slaine. I think i used to have Iron Man as well as a kid.

Got into The Watchmen last year after seeing a trailer. Now a couple of those characters would make cool shirts.

That Punisher shirt is well cool looking.

    What civil war?

A superhero cape would be cool. Maybe a bit choke-risky though!

It has a certain something, anyway.

I can't decide if home-made cothes are cool or not. Could you make your own top?
