Hi All, doing my first commute today as new bike has just arrived at work (Iron Horse Transit 1 disc) 10 miles from work to home so should be good test of man and machine !! Not looking forward to the hills but hoping the new bike will be a lot easier to ride than my MTB on the road !!!
:D

Welcome to the club Jimmer, looks like you've chosen a nice steed to start on!

    I now have one suggestion...........

DON'T start reading the Silly Commuter Racing thread, it's rather addictive ;-)

Well I made it home in one piece !! Did it in 1 hour which was my target of a steady 10mph average. Was not best pleased with the head wind all the way but better to start out hard and let it get easier. Bike was faultless but wish I had tested saddle height properly before setting off as it needed to be an inch higher (no Q/R). LOL
Hope to do it again Thursday....(not going to over do it the first week)
cheers for all the great comments...
