Software for Edge 705

I realise some of this has been discussed previously but some of this hasn't so I thought better to start a new thread instead of resurrecting an old one.
I just ordered a Garmin Edge 705 and in anticipation I am looking at what software to start using from the start. From what I've read in other threads Motion Based and Sports Tracks seem to be the way to go on a PC. Any others worth considering?
Is it worth trying, or even running in the long-term, both side-by-side? Any tips for using two packages together i.e. is it better to download to one package first then export to the other etc?
How about using on multiple computers? I suppose with Motion Based being browser based it doesn't matter. Any special considerations for Sports Tracks?
For a bit of background I'll mainly be using the 705 to track and plan rides, and improve fitness. Some structured training might be a possibility if time allows. Current plans are for it to be used on a road bike and a mountain bike. My laptop and desktop both run Windows XP but will probably need replacing soon.
Thanks.

No-one wanted to eat Patagonia Toothfish so they renamed it Chilean Sea Bass and now it's in danger of over fishing!

You don't really need to "download to one package" the 705 creates GPX files directly on a "disk" so you can just upload that same GPX file to both sources. I wouldn't mess around import/export as there's always a chance data is lost. (although ST doesn't unless you have the after import plugin)
For using ST on multiple computers, it's not much more than just keeping the logbook file, although the plugins and some settings live on the computer - you can copy those across if you need to - the info is in the ST forum.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
Motionbased is finishing, if you download to them I think your data will be lost when it finishes completely because migration has started. It`s garminconnect now.Smarter than the average bear.0
