hi all just after some advice
i have a giant xtc frame i am biulding up , fairly new to biulding my own bike , i am looking at a set of fox forks 120rl floats , the xtc originally come with 100mm travel forks can i change the amount of travel on these new forks , if i cant will it affect the geometry of the bike if i go with them ,

It will slightly affect the geometry, as it will give it a slacker head angle (probably a good thing). But to be honest a 20mm change shouldn't be a problem.0

An extra 20mm will effect the handling. Check the axle-crown lengths that giant recomend with this frame - putting the fox on it could negate the warranty. Also this would put extra strain on the headtude with could lead to a drastic failure. ask Giant and see what they say - I'd stick to 100mm if I were you.Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves.
