I've just bought a new frame for eBay at the total price of £85 delivered, i'm quite impressed by it and the price i got it for, it's going to be my project for when i go to Uni, although i hope to ride it well before then.
What do you think?
I love the colour although im considering powdercoat in white. What i've bought is the frame from one of these:
http://www.pinnacle-bikes.co.uk/2009+Bi ... entId=1564
And my frame: Pinnacle Evolution 2.0 frame.
I admit i know little about these bikes but knowing the value of the actual bikes themselves i couldnt pass it up!
Now for the build.

i love that colour 2.Its not about the bike....0 -
Yep it was poorly advertised the seller only had 3 feedback, and i had to search the model by myself so with a little bit of work ive got a bargain i think! should make a very nice machine for the university races i hope to enter!
Only problem is i dont have any dimensions such as steerer tube etc so i cant buy any parts until the frame is here
Can i just ask... the frame comes standard with 100mm fox forks, now i could get away with 100mm quite easily but i'd quite like a little more travel
How will i determine or what do you think i could get away with?
In an ideal world id like a 130mm fork but i severely doubt thats an option, so im thinking 110 or similar. The Frog: Lapierre Zesty 214 2010 - Upgraded - W.I.P0 -
100mm will be fine for racing, if i were you i'd check on the pinnacle webby and see what the frame is warrentied for, if it will go longer then fit some adjustable forks, something like a fox 32 talas, or revelations.0

Ideal, hadn't even considered adjustables tbh!
I'll go check their site.The Frog: Lapierre Zesty 214 2010 - Upgraded - W.I.P0 -
You got a nice frame there.
It was actually my mate who sold that to you. If I remember correctly if you want to keep the warranty valid on the frame the max travel is 120mm.0 -
Ah excellent im glad thats the case then! Im only going to increase the travel if for some reason i can get some forks cheaper in that length than 100mm.The Frog: Lapierre Zesty 214 2010 - Upgraded - W.I.P0
