As above. You won't find a better flat pedal for the money."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

DMR V8 pedals are a great value option. Not really light, but to be honest you won't notice the difference and they're as reliable as they come.0

the dmr v8 pedals are 14 quid cheaper so seems better option if you dont care to much about being super light i guessLondon2Brighton Challange 100k!

V8's loose bearings, MG1's sealed bearings
V8's are heavier than the MG1's
V8 ~£24, MG1 ~£35
IIRC Wellgo make the V8 too
All in all the MG1 are a better value pedal (less servicing, longer life & lighter) They're worth the extra £110 -
yeah v8s are good pedals by all accounts. I aint used em but lots of people swear they are great value.0

Gusset slim jims £31.
Sealed, wider and with a thinner profile than the MG1.

+1
P.S - you can get cheap unbranded Gusset Slim Jims from a Raleigh shop for less than £30 as I did.Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -
Outland Kustom, Gusset slim jim in (not much of a) disguise. £24.99

Spot the difference.
I use these (in white) on my Kona.0 -

the only issue with wellgo is they 14 quid more than dmrv8s is that 14 quid worth it...?London2Brighton Challange 100k!

If £14 is so important why not skip the branding and get the equivilent Wellgo V8 pedal then?

There you go, there's another £14 saved :P 200 grams with better bearings is worth £14 extra in my eyes for the MG1s though personally.
I got some Superstar Nanos recently, big feet like Benj and used to dangle off the side of my V8s. 444 grams on the scales, only 67 grams heavier than Wellgo MG1s, there's a lighter Superstar model as well but they looked a bit narrower and I wasn't a fan of the price hike. These seem decent enough though, nice CNC'd bodies instead of the standard cast stuff you get, replaceable sealed bearings etc. Really impressed.0 -
are those wellgo mg1 pedals hard to fit on a bike?
as evans dont stock them as so i cant get them to fit them for free:(London2Brighton Challange 100k!

Yup 15mm spanner & a dab of grease is all that is needed
As with all pedals, left hand one has a left hand thread
