100% positive and "awsum" aside seems to know what he's talking about (a thief woudn't really talk about cutting the steerer!)

Why wouldn't a thief know what he was talking about though? Not all theives are daft (I've met quite a few in my 12 years in the Police!)

If genuine the reserve will be mahoosive.

I don't see what suspicous - he has a reserve on - and the way to get best prices on ebay is to start low .....hey he's gpt a few viewer through here !!

I agree, if the reserve price is 3,500 quid would it then be suspicious. The seller claims to have the original reciept so IMHO it sounds like a genuine offer. You can always email the seller and ask for a copy of the original reciept, if you are still in any doubt.The fact that the seller has made a few spelling mistakes hardly makes him a possible thief, does it.If you were to call the seller and ask for the frame number and then contact the police and ask if the bike is stolen then you know for sure how you stand.However i do think it,s genuine.

It's a very nice bike though.

Another one is to see if he offers cash on collection.
