I'm looking for a compact waterproof jacket that will not get wetter on the inside
than the outer. I bought a cheapo in France last year and it's alright for the cold air on
a descent but useless in the rain if you're actually doin some work. Any good recommendations ??

I have an Altura Crosslite jacket. Rolls up small enough to go in your jersey pocket. Keeps the water out and breathes quite well.

gore oxygen 3 maybe (bit short on the front), tho your still going to get a bit damp on the inside.

I use a Gill Prospeed eVent which is v. breathable but not that compact.
