dry lube, or using less wet lube than you are (you don' need much) or wiping the excess off
Wet lube is, well, wet & it will attract dirt to it if you don't wipe off the excess.
Dry lube forms a wax like lube after application & doesn't attract the dirt as much
but
wet lube lasts a lot longer & isn't as prone to washing off in wet/muddy conditions as dry lube
oh & Finish line is very highly recommended (both wet & dry)0 -
finish line, both compounds or a TFT spray.
the finish line wet is quite heavy and its a bit of a mud magnet so dont use it if youre riding in wet swampy bits, a good dry will work better, although you need to clean the drive and relube it as soon as youre finished riding.0 -
finish line dry or progold prolink and a large rag collection0

I always clean my chain after each ride, get an old water bottle put some citurs degreaser in, shake it then rinse off and dry it with a rag. Put it back on the bike an relube it.
If you use a dry lube you need to leave it to dry before you ride, I normally do it right after I ride so I'm good to go again the next day.
+1 for Finish Line lubes.0 -

I use dry lubes all the time now, even when its muddy n wet.
If your cleaning the bike (&chain) after each proper ride, then you're going to need to re-lube your bits anyway.*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)

In my experience, that's not a good thing to do.
I have found when caught using dry lube in the wet, that my chain sounded like tank tracks after 15 or so miles...0 -
Works for me.
You need a few applcations of the lube, and letting it dry to load it up.*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
