Knee Pain

I went for a week biking in Scotland last week. Did four of the 7Stanes.

Well on the second day my knee started really hurting, I carried on till the end in pain. I knew I shouldn’t of carried on, but I was 260miles from home and to go home early would be disappointing. So drugged myself up with ibuprofen and paracetamol to help me get through the next two rides. It was painful!!

Now I don’t know what I have done, but it seems like I have overused my knee, and the muscles on my quads seem to be not strong enough and one side is weaker than the other. This is pulling the knee cape to one side more, causing rubbing. This is my own diagnosed report

The pain in on the inner side of the knee cap and ontop of the knee cap. I have rested for a week, has got a little better but not a lot. I just want to get biking again. And I am worries that every time I go this injury will occur.

Has anyone else had this? If so what have they done to get better? I know I should have warmed up more before I went out last week. And will work on building up my quads after the pain in my knee has gone.
