I'm not sure about the other stuff but I'd be very wary of using one of those locks; a decent set of bolt croppers and the bike is gone.
The advice I was given was to spend around 10% of the value of your bike on a lock.0 -
I agree about the locks but you could buy like 50, put them all on in one go and that would probably put off most thieves, they couldn't be assed to cut through that many !!0

I'm tempted by that unicycle...0

Some bruised plums maybe...........
What's the FCN of a unicycle anyway, does it come under the fixie umbrella??
This looks rather good:

Anyone had any experience with the toolkit - as Bassjunkieuk says, it looks rather good0

Why would youy want reflectors on the pedals of your unicycle????
Ride it on roads at night :P :P :P0 -

Been there, done it.
Bought a seat pack for £3.90, it has bulbs and a cloth to spread out when repairing at the road side! The tool kit seems good value and lots of bits. The security cable seems to provide about £1.90's worth of security. I passed up the chance of buying the unicycle, I don't feel ready for a fixie just yet. The shoes look great value for a spd/trainer style thingie.
No I am not an employee.The older I get the faster I was0 -
I went and got the tool kit and sports glasses for me, and a gel seat cover and bike lock for my girlfriend's refurbished-for-minimal-cost bike.
Oh yeah, I should say, everything seems pretty good. The tools are cheap but seem sturdy enough for the occasional service - glasses are plasticy but is better than a bee in the eye and the seat cover is surprisingly secure.0 -

Got the tool kit, hex key set (which might be the gem of the lot) and a cycle computer for my bro.Food Chain number = 4
A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights. As you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game0 -

There cheaper than £5 that was my only thought....Food Chain number = 4

I'm really tempted by the unicycle but can't justify the cost..........
fwiw I had a pair of their SPD shoes when they popped up first time and they have served me mighty well over the winter. Slightly different design to these ones and my only complaint really was that the laces (easily replaced) and velcro straps (not so easy to replace) have started fraying and wearing a bit thin. Probably due to the twice daily routine of being done up as I used them for commuting :-)
Still at £15 I can't complain and actually have a still new set under the stairs (in a bigger size) so I might swap over to them once it gets cold and wet again as I don't think my new DHB R1s are waterproof - unless I nab a pair of overshoes cheap during the warmer months :-D0 -
I bought a pair of shoes. Will do for the commute to work or if my others are still soaked through. Don't know about longevity, but seemed a good buy for the money. There is no secret ingredient...0

A colleague bought one of their toolkits last year, most of the tools were made of something not unlike Wensleydale cheese. Tools like that are a false economy, they'll only slip and cause damage costing more to fix than you saved on the tools in the first place.
Most of that stuff will get snapped up by ebayers and most of it won't make a profit because supply will outstrip demand.0 -
