Hi iam looking to buy a pair of Assos FI Uno S5 Bib Short from Evens. But i am not sure about the size. On the size chart it only has the size for your height. http://www.evanscycles.com/managed_assets/images/download/107/107.pdf
Making my size a large at 5'10ft But I'am larger around the waist than i should be 38in
So if any of the larger riders here have a pair of Assos what size do you suggest.
Thanks

I am 6ft2" and use XLG size(my waist is 32). Given your height I think XL would be okay for you. Try before you buy.Brian B.0

I'm 5'8'' with a 32'' waist. The tables would suggest I should wear medium, but I have huge thighs which mean that I go for a large in the S5s.
Here is a size chart from Parkers:

I'm 5ft11'' and 32inch waist and all my Assos shorts are size large, but as Brian B says when you're spending that much money always best to try before you buy. When you do try them don't forget though that when you're standing upright the shoulder straps should feel like they're pulling down a bit as the shorts are made to be worn in the cycling 'tuck' position.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

My recommendation is if you have to order online then order two different sizes and send the wrong pair back. Assos sizing is CRITICAL.
Oh and Ribble are cheaper than Evans, for everything mainly.
They have a Spring offer on at the moment where the Unos are £76, can't be bad.0 -
I'm 5'11" and 34" waist and wear XL Uno's.0

tried some on the other day and XL was the size for me (5'11", 33" waist)
however, the Giordana Tenax fitted better IMO, so I bought them instead.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Thanks for all the response very helpful.
I know the best thing would be try before i buy but i'am stuck in Thailand. So there is not much choice in the LBC. So I have to by online.
Thanks Redddragon & Gaint mancp for the tip about Ribble. Should get the even cheeper as they will take off the VAT. Not sure if they deliver to Thailand just tried to order a pair of XL's. But Thailand did not show up on the drop down menu. Sent them a email so will wait for there response
Thanks again for all the posts

5" 10" 32" waste 67 kg, I have medium Unos as that is what the Assos sizing chart said. My LBS said L would be too big and that they should be tight. The Assos sizing chart includes weight. It says L for an 80 kg person at 5' 11" - 6' 1" and XL for an 85 kg at 6 1 - 6 3.Pegoretti

I think it depends on your proportions. As said before, I'm only 5'8'', and 164 lbs or a bit less. My big legs mean that I need a large in shorts, but I would probably have a medium or even small in a jersey.
Size charts are all well and good, but they work on averages!0 -
