Got out to my bike today after work, 18.8oC, Yahoo! Had to take my gloves off after 5 mins as hands getting too hot could have taken long sleeved top off as well if could've been bothered to stop (have worn shorts for the last six weeks anyway). Temperature reached 19.4 degrees cycling with slight tail wind with a low of 17oc on way back home into wind! (wind from the East) Last Thursday's same route was min4oc max 6oc with a chilly breeze,(wind from the West) only the fact I was chasing a 10 stone lightweight kept me warm! The Thursday before that was one of the coldest cycles this winter with a really icy wind, was bloody freezing when I got home and it's only 13 miles. It can only happen in this country from Artic to almost tropical in a fortnight! :o :x

I was wearing Assos 851 early winter gloves on Sunday morning and could barely hold the bars first thing such was the cold.

On Tuesday I actually shed my knee warmers mid-ride.

Glorious this morning. First outing of the year for short sleeved baselayers, jerseys and mitts. All change this afternoon. In came the sea frett followed by a full blown - and rather chilly - fog tonight.

Yes, the East of Scotland was ablaze yesterday.

I was out in shorts and short sleeves for a quick 20 miler. It felt so good to ride along being brushed by warm air after all these months of bone-chilling cold.

    However,

today we are submerged in chilled fog and we are told that it will not budge all day.

    :(

    Oi! That's cheating!

Looks like good weather again here today. I was kicking myself yesterday 'cause I couldn't get out. I've got a couple of things to do this morning, but I'm going to make a point of getting out this afternoon. Can't decide whether to put on sun block or not, so might look more like my avatar when I get back. :D
