Hi,

I've read the stickies at the top but i'm not buying from halfords.

Basically, my budget is about £750 right now, or i can wait 2 weeks and have about £900 budget.

Ah, the size of the bike has to be 20".

I just need a good bike, a MUCH better one then an Apollo FS 26 E, it's irritating me now the amount of problems i've had with it.

I need a bike that's good on pavements/road and some off-road, not major downhill biking, just average off-road.

I'm due to do the coast 2 coast event in june, so i need a new bike, i have a feeling my bike at current won't be up for it. It's done about 750 miles, don't know if that's alot for a bike, but who knows.

Thanks for your time reading this, i hope i get some good advice.

Cheers,

Matty. =]

    Wait until you have 900 quid and go to as many LBSs as possible and try as many bikes as possible.

    We all have our fave brands on here so you'll probably get many many suggestions but only you know which is the best bike for you within your budget.

    A decent LBS will have a good stock and will happily let you go for a quick spin.

    I might go to Evans Cycles, it's close by.
