who would pay to have a go on a north shore area near Manchester?
and if so how much?

i was thinking about setting one up in the future. i know it wont be the best thing in the world but it would still be great fun
if you can ride up it, its too easy

I'm a bit meh, indifferent with north shore. I dont see the point of it unless your using it to traverse impassable terrain. Putting north shore over perfectly good trail is completely pointless. Trail centers do it extensively, boils my piss no end.

Yeah most people would pay NOT to ride on north shore

Would have to be something fairly impressive to expect people to turn up in their 1000s to pay to ride it, so I wouldn't expect to make huge money from the venture.

As Tompug say's its pointless unless its getting over a ditch, swamp or other un-passable terrain. I'd much rather ride along a decent single track than northshore planks, IMO they are a necessary evil and certainly would not pay for the privilege to ride either. I don't mind a couple of quid to park the car if its a decent car park with toilets and changing room facilities but thats about it for podding out the cash when going for a MTB ride. If it was an idea on Dragons Den you'd be sent home with no investment for sure.

There's already successful Northshore / Freeride parks like Esher Shore, AC bikepark in Churchill and TT bikepark in Bideford so why not another one near Manchester?

As long as you've got a slope with trees on it, and permission from the landowner.

It's a bit far from Dundee in Scotland for me though.

  • You expect tight northerners to pay?  Also what we talking? There is some north shore at Stainburn and I can hardly do that yet and it's free!
What I would pay for is for people at the sides to catch me when I fall off, :D or just a few lessons/confidence building.

Er, excuse me - I think you'll find that we Lancastrians are far more generous. We all know that Yorkshiremen are just Scots with all the generosity sucked out of them, deep pockets and short arms. :D

I once knew a Yorkshireman who dropped 50p. It hit him on the back of the head.

And I heard 2 Lancastrians invented copper wire fighting over a 2 pence piece.
