Hi there.. can anyone enlighten me as to differences between Look pedals a bit please. Ive been using SPD single sided pedals on my road bike (so as to use my MTB shoes as they were carbon soled blah blah blah).... but now I've got some road shoes too and am looking for pedals.

The thing is, I wanted to get the same system as two of the guys I ride with so I can easily hop on their bikes and take them out for a spin now and again (cos they've got some nice gear I'd love to have a go on). So... I know they ride Look but when I showed my mate a pic of the Keo Sprints, he said the cleat must be different? Both of my mates systems must be the 'one before Keo', i'm guessing here, we're talking up to and about 10 years old I suppose, I'm guessing.

Can anyone tell me if mylogic here is right PLUS, if so, where can I get some 'new old stock' ones and which model names would I be looking for? (Maybe eBay?) I was going to spend about £55 on Keos until I found this out so I'm happy paying that sort of money, I take it they still had ones with and without adjustable release tension and all that?

Help/advice appreciated, thanks.

Older models of Look pedals come up on ebay quite often and you can still get spare cleats quite easily as they were very popular for a long time. I got rid of mine a few years ago, but I expect if you placed a Wanted add, people would be quite prepared to let you have their old ones for the price of postage. There were a multitude of different models, but as long as they use the red cleat, you'll be OK. Very old models use a black cleat which offers no float. FWIW Campagnolo, Mavic and Shimano all produced compatible pedals too.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yeah, you are referring to Look Delta pedals. The newer ones are called Keos.

Ah, thanks both for the info... I confirmed it this afternoon and luckily I think I have some pedals sourced now too. I'll read that page through as well, can never have enough information when it comes to bikes.

I've been after some older 236 Look pedals for ages, have some and love them. But very hard to get older Look stuff in new or nearly new condition.

I prefer to the Keo system.
