Carbon seat post?

I recently bought a "carbon wrap" stem. I needed a longer stem and bought the carbon wrap one as it was only about £1 more and i like the look of it (i'm a self confessed carbon tart, I have it all over car too!).
But... after riding with it for the first time today, it seemed to be noticeably less "harsh", i.e. less vibrations coming through the handlebars. It might be completely in my head, or is it the length of the stem. But it *felt* like it made a difference.
Now it's got me thinking about a carbon seat post like this one...

It seems pretty cheap, and full carbon.
I ride a very uncompromising, stiff alu frame/forks. Would the carbon seat post benefit my backside?

I've used a Spesh Pave in the past and that was very comfy. Noticeably smoother than anything else I've used.
Current post is an EC70 which isn't as comfy as the Pave but better than either alu posts I've had on the same bike (EA70 and a Thomson).Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
I think carbon seatpost and bars make a lot of sense, they really do soak up the road vibration, in my experience.
I have the Specialized pave seatpost on my road bike and matching Ritchey post and bars on my mtb.Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

Depends on how much seatpost you have sticking out your frame, your weight and the diamter of the post i.e. 100mm of 31.6mm post is going to be stiff for anyone, whereas 300mm of 27.2mm post for a 90kg rider can have a surprising amount of 'give' - some of the Easton carbon posts for example are pretty compliant. That said, the majority of carbon bars are very stiff IME and I'm quite happy with aluminium onesMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I'm a big bloke at a rather heavy 105kg
It's a 27.2mm post about 16cm out of the framehttp://www.KOWONO.com - Design-Led home furniture and accessories.0 -
I can't find the spesh seat post for under £60 (quick search), that's a fair step up on the £10 PBK one!http://www.KOWONO.com - Design-Led home furniture and accessories.0
