Bits snapping off
Bit if advice needed please.
I have a Dolan full carbon bike which is just under two years old. Back in October one of the lugs(?) holding the rear brake cable onto the top tube sheared off, luckily not when riding. I took it to my lbs who advised that it should go back to Dolan. As I live within a few miles I took it there and they fixed it there and then no problem. All's well I thought. I was a little worried about the posibility of another one shearing but put that to the back of my mind,
However I now find that the lug holding the rear derailleur cable has partly sheared - there are two rivets and one has snapped - and so another repair is needed.
My question is - is this common with carbon frames and what dos anyone think of the safety issues - I think thre is only one original lug left now and that is holding the cable to the front of the top tube for the rear brake - if that were to snap on a descent it could be a bit of a disaster!! I'm going to take it into the lbs again today but as a technophobe a little feedback would be appreciated.
