Dalby Red vs Kielder Red route

Did Dalby Red route today and got a canny suntan, 8) thinking of going upto do the Kielder Deadwater Trail - red route on thurs or friday. what do you think is hardest, best, most interesting, fastest etc :?:

and should i consider Whinlater instead :?:

    Kielder has much better downhill sections (than Dalby) if that's your thing, the descent from the top is pretty fast and really good fun but there is a lot of fireroad climbing which isn't fun. At all. Some nice technical sections in the woods also, and you have the option of doing some short black sections if you find the red is too easy.

    I'm biased towards Whinlatter as I live pretty darn near it, I really like it, but again it has a pain of a fireroad climb near the start, bit better there now as the full route is fully open again. Plus you can get a good pie in Keswick afterwards (or before if you like).

    Both trails are shorter than Dalby so take your pick.

    cheers bungalistic, will eventually get round to doing both. I dont mind climbs so long as the descents are rewarding 8)
