By fitting a longer stroke shock, or using new linkage plates?
You can't just bang a longer shock in there.0 -
by increasing the stroke :? not changing anything else.i dont understand why not.i thought the geometry(i.e.overall hight of my bike)would be the only thing to be effected.0

How will you make the stroke longer? you cant just fit a longer shock.
fit one the same i2i but with more stroke and you risck the wheel hitting the frame."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

do you mean i can fit a new shock that is the same max length i2i as my van but with more stroke?0

NO you will get conflicts."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The only way to do it is new linkages.0
