Recommended Exercises for MTB

Hey there guys,

I am pretty new to MTB and would like to know what exercises @ the gym you guys would recommend to get fit to ride some trails, nothing to hectic to start off with (the trails that is).

    do more mountainbiking.

    Unless you plan on competeing then the gym isn't really worth the bother.

    That said, if i had acess to a decent gym, i'd spend most of my time doing core stability work, you can never have enough core and flexibility.

    Balance board
    Situps/pressups
    Star jumps
    mountain biking

    want a balance board myself :)

    Thanks for the feedback. There is no intention on my part to compete at the professional level, so I'll just stick to my normal training.

    Squats are good for building up a bit more leg power and core strength too.
