hi . im gettin a shimano slx double nd bash chainset but on the website it says mega9 chainrings for 9 speed .will it still work for 8 speed and would the bottom bracket fit into my gt tempest 3.0 frame ? if not can anyone suggest another crank

Though you will need a shop to face the frame.

I have the SLX double on one of my bikes and really like it, seems pretty tough and not too heavy.

Another vote for the SLX double. Suits the Stumpy FSR very well.
