Trail riding revelation

I understand its nothing new to most of the more experienced guys on here but after two or so years of riding I have suddenly discovered the art of NOT braking, Rooty and rocky trails are so much easier now I have learnt to stop panicking and hit the trails at speed and let my body and bike float over stuff instead of trying to brake and traverse the roots and rocks.
Hopefully pride does not cometh . . . . as the saying goes.

I still don't understand. What's a brake? You mean "break", right, as in, "I need to break something"
I don;t think I've ever come across the word "Brake" before, you must be confusing it with something!

It took me a few years to do the whole No braking thing. best way to learn is find a section of twisty, rooty singletrack that's not too steep and just session it over and over until you've mastered it. I found the same thing with doubles you need balls at first but once you've done some tabletops properly and get confidence you realise catching big air is not difficult it's state of mind. ie 20% riding ability and 80% in your head.
That's what I love about Mtbing you think you've seen it all and ride fast then someone blitz's past you, there's always someone faster. I love the chase.
Keep thrashing0
