Inner tubes... which?!

Every time I log into Wiggle/Ribble/Chain reaction etc. there are no end of inner tubes!
I have a Planet X Carbon SL soon to be fitted with Krylion (when available) tyres.
I want a similar type of inner tube to the krylion: great all rounder for commuting and general use. Want the best, but need durability as well as speed! Don't want to be replacing many!
Any recommended?

If you can be bothered topping them up a lot then the Mich latex ones are very supple, and fairly light (70-odd g).
If you want butyl then Conti supersonics are very light (55g ish) and their standard race tubes are 75g ish.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Butyl or latex - that's the question!!0

No latex!
No time for constant pumping.
I'm just confused as there seems to be so many varieties, and never the same thing accross different vendors. Any links to a decent all rounder?0 -
Any 75g ish tube from a respectable manufacturer would be fine - Vittoria Evo, Michelin AirComp, Continental Race, Maxxis Ultralight blah blah blah. If I were you I'd keep it Michelin to go with the tyres cos there's no good way to differentiate between them...

Conti Supersonics are too fragile IME.0 -
I prefer Michelin because there aren't many mould lines on the tube to make patching awkward, and the valve stems are unthreaded so the pump rubber doesn't get chewed up.0

Bontrager - good, long valves
Specialized - good, heavy but durable in my experience
Vittoria - good, lighter but thinner so do fail more especially if tires are tight and hence hard to fit without pitching
I once made a mistake while in Halfrauds and bought 5 for the price of 3 inner tubes. 4 failed at the valve, i didn't use the 5th. Poor quality, could have been a batch issue or why hey were on offer but that's reason enough not to buy moreM_G0 -
I usually go for the Schwalbe SV15s, 23 to 28C. You can get them quite reasonable if you bulk buy, but the typical RRP is 3.99.
They are pretty good too, never had bad problems with them. Of course a tube is only as good as the tyre it goes into, but Krylions are good for puncture protection. Had my first winter on them and very nice.0 -
The Conti tubes have always seemed to be better quality to me.
I use the Race (100g) on the tourer/commuter and the Race Light (75g) on the bling.
Have tried the Supersonics, but they're not as reliable and very expensive.
Avoid latex tubes. They need to be pumped everyday.0
