I couldn't find an equivalent thread that listed bargains people had found . . . I did search.

I thought it would be a nice idea as sometimes when looking for bits and pieces I come across some good deals that others might benefit from - Anyway, I spotted these at Argos and although they're no good for me, but someone might want/need them; I can't comment on their quality and it might be hard to find stock in a store that's close.

OUCH!!!! I spent 52 squids on some Time ATAC ROC S pedals last week for my Pylon8, a model higher than my original plan, due to the superb price. It truely is shocking how much Shimano gear has increased in price since the pound crashed against the yen...

Obviously Supermarket own brand are fine...

Just get rid of large clumps with a low pressure hose and rub away with these bad boys!

I couldn't believe how good they were, I use them for cleaning all sorts of things now, makes me wonder about their suitability for babies' bottoms though!

I bought one of those last week after a carbon wrap stem seemed to reduce road buzz... It's a lot lighter than my previous seatpost, but I don't seem to notice much comfort difference. New tyres on the other hand...

Can anyone recommend the Gore Contest jacket? I know Gore stuff usually comes highly recommended but I can't find any reviews of this particular jacket.

I got one - I like it. Not too warm, a good spring/autumn/crap summers day jacket or as a cold Winters day mid layer. Kind of like a windproof and higly breathable FS jersey with a full length zip. No pit ventilation thingies. Only one pocket on the back which is just big enough for an OS Map. Just what I needed.

Thanks fellas.

I bought one and am happy with it. It's been an absolute bargain for the money but the drawback is only having one fairly small back pocket. I get around that though by wearing a cycling jersey underneath that has 3 pockets ... not quite as accessible but at least I've got room for the kitchen sink again!
