Races in Germany or UK?

I live in Bavaria, Germany and have a goal i would like to achieve. After ten years without a bike of any sort, last year i invested in a Cube LTD Pro, which is a very nice bike as standard. I am beginning a training program and would love to aim to compete in a XC race in about 3-4 months time.
Does anybody know how to find a race in a foreign land, Germany for example? Or are there any XC races back in Blighty i can aim for?

    There are a good few XC races across Germany. Have a look at mtb-news.de for example

    I live in Berlin and am thinking of doing one or two this summer - perhaps in Bavaria or Saxony. If you are interested in maybe doing one together somewhere between our locations, then let me know here or PM me
