What fork ?

Hey guys. Im looking to upgrade my forks on my 08 FSR XC Comp. The original fusion shox broke so specialised replaced it with a fox triad, so im looking for something that will compliment that. Its currently got the original forks which were Tora's. Im looking at an alps holiday this year, nothing to extreme, but want a fork that can do the job !
Any suggestions would be cool, cheers

    is there anything about the current forks you are trying to remedy with a new set?

    I havnt had an issue with them so far really, but a few people have said that if i run a shox like the triad on the back, then i should look to beef the forks up too. Being a fairly inexperienced rider in real mountain terrain, its difficult to know whether this is a true statement or not, thing is its all i got to go on at the mo, hence joining here !

    Not overly worried on price, but wud rather not spend over £500.

    Beef the forks up? It is an XC bike, and as beefy forks go, Tora is one of them!

    there is rarely a need to beef up an xc bike,

    the triad is an excellent shock but its not particularly "beefy" and as sonic said, the tora is as beefy as an xc fork gets, you could knock a nail in with them!!

    if you are happy with the way your current fork performs i would leave it alone. i do love to buy new parts for no reason but i never recommend anyone else to "waste" money.
