So I just ordered some bib shorts myself, though I should get a decent pair before my sportive events. I normally use normal padded shorts, they dont fall down at all but you do have to tie them around your waste which I think will prolly make them less comfortable than bibs. Still not sure how you're supposed to answer the call of nature in bib shorts though :s

Probably best not to answer such a call IN the bib shorts (or any other shorts for that matter - best to get ones pecker out first :lol:

Depends on the cut - but a few contortions normally does it!!

In which case you have to jump over a hedge.

Bibs may be more comfortable, but if you're just starting and not doing too many miles at once then regular shorts would be fine and a lot cheaper - jejames has good prices on perfectly adequate nike shorts from £9 a pair and Adidas (haven't tried them) for £15. Contrary to what a lot of people say I don't find regular shorts riding up/down,nor digging in at the waist. I suppose it comes down to the individual design, your shape, finding the right size (bibs may be more forgiving on size selection)
