Wheel issues (Mavic Aksiums)
My front wheel makes a knocking noise when I' climbing. Everytime I cant the bike over during a downstroke, the wheel recieves force from the side and moves across, making a noise. I can move the wheel left and right about 5mm by hand, and every time i do, it makes a deep clicking noise.
Any idea what the issue is? The noise seems to come from the hub, but I'm not entirely sure. It's not touching the break pads when I move it, so the noise isn;t from it connecting with anything.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like your wheel bearings are shot.
You'll need a new pair of bearings fitting to the hub.0 -
Whoaa there, not so fast. First of all, how old are the wheels? Secondly, have you looked at the locknut which is used to adjust play in the bearings? I have the same wheels on my winter bike.0

I know it's a bit obvious, but do you have the magnet/ sensor for a computer on the front wheel??0
