Should be starting any time now, thanks to those nice guys at RTBF Sat.
However, their tick down clock says another hour....
Great little semi-classic, won by Chavanel, last year, with a beaut of a break.

    Thanks for the link.

But you've got the races mixed up, the Fleche Brabaconne is the Brabantse Pijl (Brabant Arrow), won by Chavanal. On today is the Dwars Door Vlaanderen or A Travers Les Flandres (Race Across Flanders). Quick Step's best rider won them both last year.

    Not me!
I've got them right. It's RTBF that have put the BP in their link.

Not on for 45 minutes. :(

Odd, considering they've lost the rights to show the race on Sunday, to Sport + (France)
(I see someone has asked them whether they have a web feed.....if they haven't, then it'll be a blackout)

Remember this race 3 years ago, when Boonan couldn't get to the breakaway winner, because of the commie's car?

More good news for me.....I've just stumbled across Castilla live on my tv.....from Denmark! :D

Narrow roads, heavy rain, crosswinds. I love being a spectator

N00b question - I've only been here 4 years - who or what is "LUC"? Every time there's a race in Belgium, there's a dude holding a sign with LUC on it. I just saw him again.

Now recording Castilla (much better weather) with Coppi e Bartali to follow....
    I can't keep up! :D

    LOL

See Haussler is in the mix yet again!
  • I'm banking on QS giving "The Chav" (why has no one thought of that before?) his chance.

    So far, so good.

Haussler stirring things up again. Seems to be holding that form.
Chavanel stuck at the back.

WTF, why have we gone to Spain?!

Edit: Oh, never mind. Back in Belgie.

Haussler is a monster! The 3 Q Steppers are getting it hard....
Surely one of them will break his grip?
    ......as I speak.
Nico Eeckhout's had more or less a free ride...

I take it back. the BP is on RTBF "Deux", this Sunday, from 2pm, which probably means a live feed, like today. :)
They have just announced the winners of today's other stages! :(

Second class Eire mail! Van Impe sprints ahead of An Post's 38 year old Eeckhout to save the day for Quick Step.

Damn, I was wanting Eeckhout to win. Woulda been a big coup for An Post. Is Sean Kelly still involved with the team?

Massive "chute" in the peloton, after Van Impe had taken the Dwars...

Yup - not so much with the day-to-day running which is left to Kurt Bogaerts. I think Kelly gets more involved with getting sponsors, though I believe he's not averse to throwing a few fukks in, if things aren't going well.

  • I think Eeckhout earned a nice sum of money today. It would have been such a fiasco for QuickStep if they didn't take the win after having 3 riders in the 5 riders' leading group. I'm sure they are pissing their pants because of Haussler.

Hausslers form at the moment is awesome. A very smart signing by the Cervelo Test Team who as a whole appear to be getting stage wins left right and centre. I can see Haussler picking up a classic win this year, classy looking rider.
