Aero bars

Hey all,
I'm thinking of trying a TT or two sometime this season (and maybe a Tri next year) so I figure getting a set of aero bars is a good shout.
In your experiences which shape of bars is best to start out on or is it entirely dependent on what feels best when you're using them?
Right now I'm riding an '08 Trek 1.7 if that makes any difference to what bars would be best.
Cheers!

How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Don't think there is a specific shape/style to start on other than ones that allow you to make adjustments in a number of planes.
If you plan to just fit extension bars (clip-ons) to your existing bars then the problem with that (I used that approach for a good few years) is that when in the tuck position you are more stretched out than ideal since you are just adding length to the position that your hands are in.
I found that an angled (eg Profile Fast Forward) seatpost helped with this issue.0
