i've got the chance to buy a trek 9.8 carbon frame (dream bike for me) thing is its 19.5" i'm 5'10" with a 30" inside leg is it gonna be to big for me? i only ride light offroad and comute to work thoughts please guys :?

I tried a trek out recently in a shop and I too have a 30" inside leg, the 19.5 was way too big for me, i'm looking at frames around the 16"-17.5" mark, the shop assistant recommended the same also.
