HI

I am looking at buying a new hardtail and not sure what to go for. The three that I like the look of are;

Scott Scale
Genesis Core 30
Boardman Team

The Scott Scale range tend to be a bit more expensive so it would have to be one of the cheaper models. The Genesis is a pretty sharp looking bike and gets good reviews but I have been told the forks are average.

The Boardman I don;t know a lot about but it sounds like it is great spec for the price, particularly if I was to buy the 2008 team model that is selling for near £700 some places.

Any feedback on the above three models would be much appreciated. Cheers

    You will be lucky to get 2008 boardmans, I couldn't find a comp (though team might be more available)

    Tough decision really. I would advise test them all and see how they feel. Any one of these bikes will be pretty amazing, you hit the "sweetspot" for the budget for a hardtail bike.

    The Scale has a lovely frame,is very racy,but the components won`t do the frame justice unless you get one thats more than £1k.
    The Genesis has a Recon fork which is actually prety good at this price.This has a bit more travel and maybe a bit more versatile than the other 2.
    Boardman has a good spec,full stop.
    You need to consider how and where you are going to ride,and go test them.
