Marmotte - Bike Rental

I'm doing the Marmotte but for various reasons won't be taking my bike with me.

Can anyone recommend a bike shop in the area that rents decent road bikes?

there are at least 2 shops in Bourg d'Oisans (the start) which hire very good bikes; mainly for people to ride up AdH on, but I'm sure they'd hire you one for the biggie; Google for 'location velos Bourg d'Oisans'

Seems they hire out bikes.. however big questions going to be whether they have then available.

looks like you can reserve them online so shouldn't be a problem; I'd be wary about doing the hardest ride (for its distance) in Europe on a bike I'd only just picked up though; plus remember the brakes will be the wrong way round (or the right way if that's how you prefer them like me)

But if you were planning to use one of the budget ailrlines to get there it will cost about the same either way.
