Hi
Given the 10/10 write-up in C+ are these as good as the reviewer says?
Want to upgrade on the Alex rims my Giant OCR1 came with. Never had a prob with them, solid wheels but want to improve things a bit.
Want something lighter. Don't want a fight to replace a tyre (reviews of Fulcrum, Kore etc have spooked me on this).
If the Eastons don't work out will probs go for Open Pro / 105s. Aksiums 3rd choice.
Thanks
Paul

I bought some of these last year and have used them on my training bike for the last 5-6 months. Without wishing to sound too girly ... they look great. I've been really happy with them although I probably wouldn't have given them a 10/10. They're good but not perfect. I'd happily recommend them though.
One thing I found is that they're a VERY snug fit when used with Schwalbe tyres. I can't actually get a tyre on to the rim using my fingers and even snapped a plastic tyre lever. As I was happy with the wheels I just went out and bought a couple of steel tyre levers and they're well up to the job.0 -
Looking good is important!
Do they have a freewheel that "clicks"? If so is it loud?0 -
Yep, the freewheel clicks. I reckon it's about normal volume ... you can hear it when riding. Not as loud as my Mavics but more than my Ultegras.
I just love the sound of a clicking freewheel!0 -
I have the EA90 SLX wheels. The freewheel clicked until I stuffed it full of grease. It is now completely silent.
Great wheels btw0
