I'll second that request for info, did Cheddar bikefest last year and looking at doing the Bristol one this year. Whats the course around Ashton Court like? I've got a stumpjumper FS and by then will have finished my hardtail singlespeed which would be the best to use?0

if it is the trail around ashotn court then i would say it would definitly be ok for a hardtail, and potentially for a single speed, it is pritty flat with few hills, there is one short technical descent and another very short technical ascent, apart from that the majority is fairly easy going, however due to crappy weather and poor drainage as the area is fairly flat there are alot of exposed roots, rocks and mud bogs, but i think this adds to the enjoyment of the trail, would definitly consider the 3 hour novice event!! will be fun.0

The trail is so rutted and destroyed at the moment that a Full Suss (even up to 140mm) is actually quicker round the course right now.
Repairs are usually done prior to the event but in recent years it's been hard to keep up.
Seriously fun course though (despite how eroded it is, if it's dry it's wicked fun) and a cracking event (I would say that being local mind). I did team of 4 12 hour last year, doing 12 solo this year.0 -

haha I'm local too! yes it does take time to repair. there is alot of course and alot of riders but it's all good fun0 -
I'm told that in the wet (which due to heavy rain, it now WILL be!), the course will not only turn very boggy in places, but also very slippery in places. Novices take care, and don't slam your brakes on!...
GOOD LUCK!

Been raining in Brizzle tonight, don't know how hard as I haven't left the flat since 6pm.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

A few nice pics, though I have a few hundred more... might have better ones once I check!
Rider 377 is very cute, wonder who she is? Nice shot of the four riders below too.

Baaa, shame She could happily join any team of mine anytime she likes )
By the way, full results from the Bikefest are available from www.timelaps.co.uk
The name of her team (377) is brilliant!!! I shall not repeat it here though, being a gentleman.

Haha. I must say that the team names this year were particularly imaginative and fruity
That team name I mentioned above would also make for a great betting shop in Norwich
Keep up the good work everyone

Yes, me too. I was hoping to take part in no less than 4 events for the first time this year, including the Bikefest, and for fun the BHF London to Brighton.. but I just haven't got my act together this year.
I'd love to try a mixed doubles effort, but that's another story...*wink*
